The Snowsport Industries of Great Britain (SIGB) is pleased to announce the appointment of MCS PR & Event Management as the new organisers of the 2024 winter trade show taking place at the Telford International Centre (9th– 11th January 2024). At the SIGB AGM & Open Forum on Wednesday 11th January, the winners of the show awards were announced in front of exhibitors, SIGB members and the media. The awards are spread across six different categories including Snowsport Hardware, Outdoor Hardware, Software, Accessories as well as a ‘Fresh Brand’ category which is open only to new brands or first-time exhibitors at the show and an ‘Eco Award’ for brands that show particular environmentally friendly credentials. Over 100 exhibitors have signed up for the show which will be the biggest version of the show held in Telford since it moved there from Manchester in 2011. In the last couple of weeks, Luhta, Icepeak, Ziener, Snokart and Prime Agency have all signed up to join the prestigious exhibitor list. Retailers and Media have free access to the show and can pre-register here. The show is easy to get to, with great transport links by road, rail and air. Rossignol recently announced plans for its new recyclable ski, The Essential. Following 3 years of development, the Essential has a recyclability potential of 77%, around ten times higher than the average skis currently available. The skis will launch on 2nd December and will be available exclusively in the UK from Snow + Rock. Highlighting its commitment to recycling, the Rossignol Group has announced that it will make the technical specifics of the Essential available to all, including industry peers and competitors. Visitor registration has now opened for Slide & OTS Winter, which returns to Telford International Centre between the 10th & 12th January 2023. Slide & OTS Winter is living up to the ‘O’ of Outdoor in its name with recent sign-ups from well-known outdoor suppliers and brands. In the last fortnight, companies such as Craghoppers, Berghause, ProAgencies, Snow Peak and Rab have confirmed their attandance, alongside returning snowsport specialists like Dare2b, Picture, SkiExchange, Reusch, Tran Am and Dynafit. 78% of the floor area of the previous show has already been filled, but fortunately, the organisers have increased the show area to accommodate the additional brands. Exhibitors at the January show were offered priority booking for the 2023 version for two weeks before stands went on open sale and the organisers were inundated with bookings. 70% of the area of the 2022 show has already been re-booked and this equates to over 50% of the new, expanded floorplan that was created to offer additional space for new exhibitors. Within a few days of all stands going on sale, two new exhibitors have already signed up: Craghoppers, the well-known outdoor brand that invites customers to ‘get the most from your adventure’ are making their first appearance at the show. Aulp is also a first-timer; a French brand offering snowsport wear that offering a balance between style, practicality and sustainability.
