Covid-19 has impacted on all our lives and looks likely to continue to do so for some months to come. The SIGB aims to produce Slide in January 2021, taking all measures necessary to ensure the show is safe for all who participate and attend.

Slide organisers will be adhering to best practice, following the industry guidelines.

Three major event bodies: the Association of Event Organisers (AEO), Associaton of Event Venues (AEV), and the Events Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) have created a joint framework  of support and assessments to ensure a safe return to live events, which has been approved by the UK government.

Slide organisers will be liaising closely with the venue to determine the protocols and measures necessary to ensure the safety of all at Slide and will communicate these in advance of the show to exhibitors and visitors to ensure awareness and compliance. Likely measures include changes to: visitor registration process, the addition of hand hygiene points at key touchpoints, updated cleaning regime in areas of high traffic such as catering and toilet areas, catering offering and layout of area, use of face-masks where distancing of 2m is difficult.

Definitive and clear outlines of measures will be communicated as the show approaches.
